Ahh Jess just came back from the BCSD and man was it a good one. Congrats for our ENGLAND team rider David Sizemore for placing 3rd, he's doing great at these contest!

Thanks to everyone who came out and checked out our booth at the Intergrated booth.

As for that the next contest is Barn Burner in Seattle in 3 weeks and a week before that is an AIL contest at woodward west. Make sure you check those out.

If anyone is from a while back, you may remember a skate shop in the Orange circle called EXP, it was the highlight of everyones dreams in a lil shop. I worked there for 4 years before it shut down, but i met so many people in and around the industry (How i got a job at England & 50/50). Going back when.. a little funy story, I used to sell skates to Brandon Campbell, Jeff Stockwell, Iain Mcleod, etc. before they were who they are today! The shop after EXP just went out of business, and they took off thier banner and I was just happening to go passed when i saw the name re appear after 5 years or so, so i had to snap a photo, and i just went passed it yesterday and a new banner is up.

Yep we officially lag. Jess is super busy with GOST right now with Arlo, trying to get the new stuff ready hopefully in time for bittercold, which both should be attending, so this gives you an even more reason to go check out one of the best (coldest) contest of the year.

In other exciting news... the new frames are in Long Beach awaiting customs, they will for sure be here next week and shipping out to stores!!!

Also if you have not seen too faded yet (L.G. film) you are definently missing out, it starts out with our 50/50 flow rider Victor Galicia which pretty much kills it, then JC Rowes section is probably the best section he has had.. i suggest you pick it up, sit back, and relax.

As you may have heard already, Arlo Eisenberg, formerly of Franco Shade Clothing, has started a new label called GOST. I am happy to announce that I (Jess Dyrenforth) will be joining Arlo in this new venture.

Arlo and I have been friends for over fifteen years. In that time we have worked together on many projects. We toured the world together with the Roces Team and helped to develop the first aggressive inline skate, The Majestic 12. We collaborated for many years, along with Angie Walton, on Daily Bread Magazine. And finally, in 2004 Arlo and I became neighbors in Downtown Santa Ana in The Artists Village. Nothing could be more natural than Arlo and I embarking on this new chapter together.

Now I know a lot of questions will come arise on whats the fate of England Clothing... we will still proceeding with THE ENG. in 2009 but hope to focus a lot more on cut and sew, and focus more on items like jeans/ cords/ etc., just so thats out of the way, THE ENG. will still be stronger then ever in 09, but it is a complete seperate venture.

I cannot tell you how excited I am about my new future with GOST. With Arlo's creative direction and my fifteen years of experience handling production GOST promises to be a standout brand that will hit the ground running!

So I was trying to get to New York for new years to expierence that, but we could not get out until Jan 1st in the morning, which sucked, but saved loads of money doing so. While we were there, hooked up with Ado (whos a local, and anyone going to NY should hook up cause hes a really awesome dude, and he likes going to pubs) who took us around Manhattan, and met up with Mr. Ramelle Knight which is on 50/50 flow. He has a lot in store with everything from his album, to dipskate, to rocking 50/50 frames this year, which made us look forward to the future. There were some recent fires that went through so. cal. and had a lot of us running. Our photographer Ozzie had to get evacuated out of his brand new house, but luckely nothing happen, unfortunently other people were not so lucky. As for news really, we received the jeans and are already sold out of them, we currently have the brown cords in stock, but will be making another run of the jeans and coming out with the brand new cargo pants which should be in our warehouse dec. 1st.

LA ALL DAY FINALS-

This past weekend was the LA ALL DAY finals in Santa Monica CA, it was a nice warm sunny day here in Cali. A lot of heads came out to support, we set up a booth like usual selling England Clothing, 50/50 frames, and Franco Shade. Pretty much put another shrimp on the barbee C.J. Wellsmore was killing every opstical and received 1st place! Man we are definently going to see more of this cool kat to come.

Having a session today at Vans skatepark in Orange, CA. we usually try and go 2-4 on thursdays and since Julio and BS moved they have been attending, come otu if you can!

AIL CHAMPIONSHIPS- DS 1ST PLACE-

Heres a little run down of the weekend, I left with Jess D on saturday morning got there set up our booth along with Integrated, Valo, Revolution, Intuition and others, the am contest was on saturday they had over like 60 competitors, i think from the am contest 10 people turned pro and were invited to sundays contest with the pros. Saturday night was the awards banquet, congrats to Tracy White for getting the lifetime award ha well something like that, as well as Jon Julio in the rolling hall of fame, both deserve it. So came sunday all the pros skating, there was a lot of hammers in the heats but the judges could only choose 1 from each heat, D Sizemore was not even picked but at the end they had a wild card from each of the heats and he was one of them...at the end of it all David did a lot of crazy spins to grinds, gaps, and basically landed all of his tricks. yes congrats to him for getting $3,000 and a guitar, CJ W. from australia is fuckin good he definently deserves 2nd, and i hope to see more of this kid. Ben Weis was well Ben Weis trying all sort of different approaches to opsticles and got 3rd. Haffey was doing good as always but could never really land a few of his tricks. It was a great weekend.

Man ive been a bit busy, Cali has been busy. I decided to just get away from everything with my girl to Solvang, CA. for 24 hours which is basically this made up European city that looks like Denmark, it has everything to offer just a few hours away, it was a good time, the best part is they just built a brand new skatepark there which is so good!

The next day I met up with some of my friends from the UK which we went on an advernture to the 24 hour bowling lanes... basically if you ever decide to bowl, try drinking a bit, it may help improve you ability to bowl, and its just a lot more fun! ALL OUT CONTEST-

So we all met up at the Corona skatepark a bright and early saturday last week to start the 2nd all out street contest. A lot of people came out and was a good turn out for sure. The spots were amazing, only 1 bust but other then that it went off great. The first spot was some red ledges which at the school, the contest could have been held there cause there was so much there to skate. After the heats we went to the second spot which was a bust in 5 minutes, so headed over to back up spot 2 which was a red mellow rail. Stuff started to get heated. After everyone laid thier tricks, we walked over across the street, invaded a birthday party (which they were amazing giving us some good mexican food and letting us tap thier gatorade supply). So many hammers, Winston W. how ever missed a gap to shin opener which needed 15 plus stiches. It all came down to who was killing it all day which was Anthony Williams, he took the trophy and some greens. Thanks for all the sponsors who promoted, the competitors, and everyone else who mad eit possible.

This past saturday was the la all day event in santa monica, probably by far the best turn out there. Its good to see Tracy White helping the community out with the contest and all. After the contest, every first saturday of the month the artist walk in Santa Ana( where Jess, Arlo, and Julio live) everyone opens thier lofts and showcases thier art gallery with free wine and cheese, but this one was a little more special, cause it was Arlo's b day. things kicked off around 10 or so, let me just say it was crazy how many random people were there, in the industry, not from the industry, random people off the street, it was also more crazy his how many people were belligerant like myself. So we have been sorting the summer/ fall line out, were pretty much sold out of the new tee's already. Were are working on the jeans and cords and should be complete in 3/4 weeks. Thats right, for the second year in a row, England Clothing & 50/50 Frames is proud to present, the ALL OUT STREET CONTEST for 2008. It will be held september 13th in the Inland Empire. (It was scheduled for september 6th but we had to push the date back due to an LA All DAY event). Myself as well as Ozzie, Alejoh, and Russian Nick have been working hard at this contest to make it a great event. There will be product toss throught the contest, cash and trphy prizes... hopefully my good friend Justin from ONE can make it out to cover the event!

SUPERGIRL RAIL JAM SLASH VEGAS-

Happened last weekend the same time i was going to go to vegas for my girls 22nd b day, the supergirls rail jam in H.B. from what i herd from Jess and other people was it was one of the best turn outs in a long time. Some of thee best rollerblading girls were on sight for over $2,500 up for grabs.

Jess was a judge at the event, and said it was definently a difficult dessision to make... congrats to Chyna for taking the win along with our other 50/50 flow rider Fallon getting 3rd.

On the other in i made the 4 hour drive through the scorching desert to vegas!
The first night we stayed off the strip at cancun resort, which had a nice waterslide. From being asked if we are in a band and our autographs... the next day we headed over to our penthouse suite in Mandalay Bay, basically no one wanted to leave the room so we pretty much had a lot of good times in the room.
Overall it was a good weekend, bumbed i missed the supergirl contest, but i know our girls skated hard.

FINALLY J.C. ROWE PRO FRAME!!!

Its been a long time coming... almost too long, but the new J.C. Rowe pro frame is now in production!
It will be a balance core system frame, aqua color ( to match his Eulogy pro wheel), black aluminum core, and 8mm super axels. Much deserved. Frames hopefully will arrive at the end of September early October. More details to come. At the same time the Rowe pro frame drops, we will also be offering our new black and gold freestyle core frame to customers!

If you ever remember in an old Daily Bread... they took a trip down to Ensenada, well we Took a little trip down south to Rosarito with some of my english friends i met 5 years ago through rollerblading, I have a beach house there, all in all a good little weekend, $15.00 lobster with all the fixings, too much tequila Y beer, and surf. There is also a skatepark right off the highway which looks alright and going to have to try and get to next time!

It was a good, Hot day this past saturday. A lot of people showed up, we had our booth set up for ENG and 50/50. Justin from ONE and Jenn from Rat tail came down, it was good to see them, also the legend himself Mike Opalek came out, judged, and signed a few for his profile in the latest ONE magazine!

IRON MAIDEN-

This past weekend i worked an Iron Maiden show at verizon amphitheatre aka Irvine Meadows, i get to watch a show backstage, then tear down their stage and get paid a lot.. why am i posting this, cause Iron Maiden is more english then the Beatles, ha j/k. :)

The Eng. is currently working on the spring line which includes re release of our most popular tees from winter, the Disco foil tee and the phone box tee in different color ways, then releasing the Oxford cut out tee. Working on the colors now. Should be out end of May!
